The Holley Facility
Holley manufactures high performance carburetors, manifolds, superchargers, water pumps, throttle body fuel injection and fuel pumps for street and race applications. In producing these parts, Holley prides itself in utilizing the latest technology in a lean environment to provide the highest quality parts at the best value to the customer. CNC programs can be generated on a workstation, directly from a customer's solid model. Each engineering work station is networked to each of the CNC machining centers and CNC turning centers. This configuration provides a streamlined flow of data throughout the factory, as well as data acquisition capabilities. Fixture and tool design can be accomplished in house, utilizing Pro/Engineer software. A computerized PM (preventative maintenance) network application is used to ensure all machinery is performing at the highest level.
Holley's machining departments range from small drilling and tapping centers to large four and five-axis high speed machining centers. Many are equipped with automatic pallet changers to facilitate the highest level of spindle up-time. Also included are CNC turning centers. An in-house tool room and maintenance department is comprised of a CNC wire EDM, CNC die-sinking EDM, Ewag tool grinder, and a host of manual machines.

The National Corvette Homecoming is an annual event held in Bowling Green, Kentucky celebrating America’s production sports car, the Chevrolet Corvette. First held in 1981, it was created by two Corvette enthusiasts, Tom Hill and Sam Hall, in response to the assembly of Corvettes moving from St. Louis, MO to the Bowling Green Assembly Plant, which is currently the sole assembler of the car. The event takes place for three days in July, and offers Corvette owners and specialty vendors opportunities to network. All Corvette production years and custom variations are welcome.

Chuck Evans was born in Kentucky in 1938. He later moved with his family to Ohio but returned to his roots and attended Western Kentucky University. He opened the first Chuck Evans liquor store in Bowling Green, Kentucky in 1976. In 1981, he and his father became partners and the two opened another store at Exit 28 in Bowling Green. The newest addition thrived, and was recognized as one of the top / best stores in the state of Kentucky during the 1980’s.
Chuck’s father passed away in the mid 80’s. He continued moving forward with the business, and over the next several years, Chuck grew his small chain from two stores to four. The four stores continued to thrive over the next 30 years, and the chain was rated one of the best liquor chains in the state of Kentucky. Chuck was an advocate of hard work, dedication, and always putting the customer first. He believed in providing excellent customer service and supporting the local community. Chuck was also a philanthropist, giving his time and contributions to various organizations in Bowling Green and the surrounding communities. Unfortunately, Chuck Evans passed away in January 2010. He will be missed, but his love for the industry and the community lives on. The Evans family sold the Chuck Evans Liquor Stores to a family-owned liquor store chain, United Package Liquors, based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. Although the stores are under new management, when you visit one of the four Chuck’s locations, you will find that not much has changed. The Evans family remains in management roles, and the owners of United Package Liquors of Kentucky believe in similar business practices and structure as Chuck Evans did. United Package Liquors is very customer and community oriented and will continue to revolutionize the liquor industry in Kentucky. |
