Meet Richard and Betsy Kashinsky. Richard says, "My connection (love) of the Corvette happened way back when I saw my very first Corvette on the old television show Route 66. Martin Milner was driving and my eyes were popping out of their sockets. Somehow buying one always seemed just a little out of my reach."
"We bought our first Corvette a little over 2.5 years ago. It was a 2004 Torch Red Coupe. Automatic, sport seats and a 3:15 performance axle. At the suggestion of Tom Hill I added a Volant CAI and a Corsa Xtreme exhaust. I had the wheels polished and painted the calipers red. I sold the car 3 months ago for little more than I paid for it. Betsy and I now have a C7 just like the one we saw a while back at the NCM waiting for it’s new owner."
"I’d have to say what Betsy and I like most about the Corvette culture is getting to know the Corvette owners we’ve met since buying our first Corvette and since we started working for Adams Premium Car Care Products. Those owners stretch from Buffalo, NY to Miami, Fl to Monterey, CA. Folks that believe giving back to our communities and caring for those less fortunate is very important. Sometimes the less fortunate are furry and have four legs."
"What we like about the BGACC is that sense of community involvement and the charity work that’s done for others. We all love our Corvettes. We enjoy each others company. We love getting together showing and talking about our Corvettes, but the BGACC has never lost sight of the need for community involvement."
"Betsy and I really enjoy attending and being a part of the BGACC events. We will do that more often now that we’re members."

HERB WELCH
My first Corvette was a '77 that I purchased in '01. I still have the '77 but it is out of commission. I hope to eventually get it back on the road some day.
I purchased the '96 in 2012. It was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. I like any and all Corvettes because they are the ultimate sports car.
I enjoy the club for the friendliness of the people and because of the support they give to charities.

Together they bought a 2003 and now own the 2008 C6 convertible pictured above. They say they have both loved Corvettes ever since they were kids and even though they have had black, white, and red, red is their favorite. "This Victory Red convertible has been a wonderful car and we thought it would be the last one we would buy." However, "that Torch Red C7 is so good looking that maybe, just maybe there could be one in our future!" Dave goes on to say, "...that quality, performance, and bang for the buck, you just can't beat us. As the winner of our Club Slogan and Logo contest, Linda Green, had said, "WE BUILD YOUR DREAM IN BOWLING GREEN". I think that says it all."

The June Member of the Month was: KIM COOPER!

"I've had my car for 19 months. I bought it from CarMax out of Jacksonville, Florida. It had 22,000 some-odd miles on it. It was brought to the Nashville store in October 2012, I took posession on a Friday. I've been a Corvette enthusiast since I was 7. My Dad came one Sunday, as a surprise, it was a '67 Stingray, blue with a white convertible top. We rode around in that car all day with the top down. I was in heaven!
That's where my love started and is still today... It is really quite funny how at age 53, I'm now on the launch team for the AMAZING STINGRAY! I love my Corvette because it's fast, comfortable & an eye catcher. I love the club because of who we each are, and the good that we do for our community."
